IPSC Action Air offers a range of divisions for competitive airsoft pistol shooters — from fully customized setups in Open, to classic 1911-style pistols in Classic, to factory-spec guns in Production and Production Optics. Whether you’re focused on innovation, tradition, or balanced performance, there’s a division tailored to your style and skill.
🔵 Open Division
- Maximum customization — optics, compensators, barrel weights permitted
- No handgun size limit
- Extended magazines (up to 170mm) allowed, max 28 projectiles loaded at start
- Ideal for high-performance, fully customized airsoft pistols
🟢 Standard Division
- Handgun must fit IPSC-approved box
- Iron sights only — no optics allowed
- Max magazine capacity: 18 projectiles
- Limited slide porting permitted, no barrel porting
- Focus on consistency and control
🟠 Classic Division
- 1911-style single-stack airsoft pistols only
- Strict size, mag, and design limitations
- Iron sights only — no optics, ports, or compensators
- Max 10 projectiles per magazine
- Emphasizes tradition and pure shooting skill
⚫ Production Division
- Factory-style Action Air handguns from the IPSC-approved list
- No optics, ports, or major modifications allowed
- Max magazine capacity: 15 projectiles
- Strict rules to ensure fairness and accessibility
- Double-action first shot required for hammer-fired guns
🟣 Production Optics Division
- Slide-mounted optics mandatory
- No compensators, ports, or external weights
- Same size and capacity rules as Production Division
- Combines factory reliability with competitive precision
